Here are a few tips and ideas:

Always know which one is which:

The 3 triangles in each other is one of the Fractal emblems, it normally appears on the left side, left foot, think about the 3 triangles as "Fractal",

The Umbra logo is a stylized depiction of an eclipse, it normally appear on the right side of products, right foot .

By remembering these two emblems you always know that left foot is the Fractal (triangles) and right foot side is always Umbra. (engraved on cuffs and inside the plates as well).

Even more ways to adjust your flex :
You can not only move the cuffs backward and forward to accommodate your footwear's size precisely, but you can move each side individually:
By having one side more forward, you increase sideways flex on that side and vice versa.

"Umbra is the darkest part of a shadow or a completely dark central portion of the shadow cast during an eclipse."
